The concept
The Carb Rotation Diet has a 3-day cycles.
Day 1 is a high carb/mid protein & vegetables day; Day 2 is a low carb/mid protein & vegetables day;
Day 3 is a no carb/all protein & vegetables day.
Day 4-Day 6 is a repeat of Day 1 to Day 3

The Carb Rotation Diet has become increasingly popular in 2008 even though it has been around as a concept for a long time. Now, it has been made into a specific diet by registered dietician, Jayson Hunter, and turned into a concrete and focused method.
But what is carb rotation? Why did it even come to be?
Carb rotation is a method in which you change the amount of carb calories that you eat from one day to the next. It is also known as carb cycling, but for this article, I'll stick with carb rotation.
By rotating your carbs, you're able to avoid or at least decrease the metabolic slowdown which is so common with many fad diets, and which causes so many people to fail in pursuing them. Metabolic slowdown occurs because many diets simply tell you to cut out of your eating routine a specific nutrient. That's why you have so many low-carb, low-fat, low-protein diets, or even diets which forbid any eating of a specific nutrient which the body needs a certain amount of in order to function properly. When you do that, the body believes it is starving and reacts by burning less calories so it can sustain itself for longer. That's why so many people lose weight in the beginning of diets but see their efforts evaporate as the diet progresses.
That's where the carb rotation diet comes in. When you rotate your carbs in the right way, your 'trick' your metabolism into believing that you're not actually dieting when in fact, you are. This allows you to burn calories at a fast rate and watch the weight fall off.
